The SA DHI Series scores according to UCI rules, where the seeding run counts for 25% and race run scores full points. The WC DH season is all about Downhill.
All serious contenders enter into the correct DH categories from the start of the series. You cannot change categories.
Ladies Categories:
We will only have 3 ladies categories:
-Junior Women (under 18 years)
-Elite Women (18 years and above)
-Senior Women (30 years and above)
CSA Membership:
The new 2021 ruling insists that all DH riders have to have CSA membership licences. This is in your own interest as it insures you at the races. Cycling South Africa takes great pleasure in announcing that Membership fees for 2022 will remain at R250 per annum.

Full Racing License: This category of license is for riders from the age of 17 years. These include racers in the UCI categories (Junior, U23 and Elite) who will earn UCI points, which will assist them in being seeded at future UCI category events, UCI World Cups and UCI World Championships. The cost of a full racing license is R450 per year.
Equipment:
Competitors must wear a full face helmet, Goggles, knee guards & elbow guards or long sleeves.

WC DH Provincial Series
We are changing our online registration system (entry ninja/computicket) to better suit WC DH needs. All the new links to races are found on our website and will be advertised on our Facebook and Instagram pages.
Enduro and XCO riders:
From 2023 we will no longer have a sports class. But we welcome all riders, enduro and XC inlcuded. Any bike can ride DH and we It is great experience for all riders on all bikes including hardtails.
You will be able to purchase a day licence for R50.00 from the website/online entries. Please note entries close at midnight on the Thursday before race weekend.
